Address from the Holy Empire of Templaria.

On the 4th of April, the 8 Year Anniversary of the Templars of Club Penguin, I have ascended to the throne of Empress once more.
From the lively Blizzard streets on Club Penguin Journey to the halls of CPA Battleground, the Templars have undergone a revival of spirit. Under the leadership of Borapenguins, Zez and I, as well as the newest Grand Prior Shallissa, our community has reached levels of activity and prosperity unseen since 2022.
When I returned to TCP at the end of last year, we fully adopted CP Journey as a cornerstone of our community. Many Templars had never played CPJ before despite this being a Club Penguin group. This has since changed. We are united by our enjoyment of Club Penguin itself; though we will always yearn to waging wars with other armies on CPA Battleground, this is the game that captured our hearts.
Our newfound success is evident in battle victories, maximum event sizes of 50+ and so much more. Since losing our old server in the January Exodus, we have gained 2000+ members in barely two months. The Templars will continue to grow in the coming months of 2026 and beyond. We have a lot planned for this community, including the implementation of Tour Guides, Templar Stamps, official divisions, preparations for Legends Cup XVI and much more.
As a Club Penguin army, the Templars gained recognition for its constant wars and battles with other armies. However, war activity between armies have almost completely ceased since the beginning of the year. Our most recent war – the successful Siege of the Hollow Throne versus the Void Troops – took place over almost four months ago. Wars in the modern era are conducted via the server map hosted by the Club Penguin Armies organisation. Despite considerable reforms, the CPA server map has become entirely stagnant. No major army wars have taken place since the new map was launched on the 6th of February.
The Club Penguin Armies server map has faced a slow and painful demise since the Mapping the Map Summit in the latter half of 2025. We all knew the CPA map was flawed, but it facilitated genuinely fun and competitive conflicts between armies at bare minimum. Following a community vote during the Summit, the long-standing “1 versus 1” war term was abolished. This moment was the death of major army warfare.
Rather than limiting the capacity for major armies to trap smaller ones in wars which inevitably result in defeat, the community chose to overcorrect by prohibiting 1v1 wars entirely. The democratic mandate of this vote does not mean that this was the right decision, and this is obvious for this with eyes to see.
There is only one major war that has taken place on the server map this year. When the Army of Club Penguin declared war on the Scarlet Republic, the Aliens came to the aid of SR as they felt the need to protect this small/medium army. ACP immediately called upon its allies for help, with the Water Vikings notably declaring war on Aliens and SR. As the conflict quickly became one-sided, the Aliens and Scarlet Republic surrendered and the Aliens subsequently withdrew from the Club Penguin Armies server map.
There are only five major armies participating in the Club Penguin Armies server map. The Aliens and Dark Warriors are absent from the map, leaving the following major armies present:
- Army of Club Penguin: Brother-allied with Help Force. Allied with Rebel Penguin Federation and Water Vikings.
- Help Force: Brother-allied with Army of Club Penguin. Cordial relations with Water Vikings according to WV website.
- Rebel Penguin Federation: Allied with Army of Club Penguin and Water Vikings.
- Water Vikings: Allied with the Army of Club Penguin and Rebel Penguin Federation. Cordial relations with Help Force according to WV website.
As illustrated by the list of armies above alongside their major alliances, the removal of the 1v1 term has instituted a gridlock in which the Templars of Club Penguin are the only viable major army target. Let it be understood that I do not hold any ill will towards any of these major armies in particular. However, this impenetrable web of alliances has fostered an environment akin to a New World Order. ACP, RPF and WV will inevitably aid one another in the event of a major army conflict. Even the Help Force is safeguarded by the Army of Club Penguin and remains friendly with the aforementioned armies.
No avenue exists for armies to genuinely test their strength against one another on the battlefield anymore. Even if an army declared war offering a no-allies rule based on honour, the Club Penguin Armies organisation would not uphold this if this term were to be broken. CPA may have introduced interesting innovations like server economy, but complicated LARP rules aren’t going to change the fact that this server map is destined to fail because no fair major wars will ever happen. Dark Warriors and Aliens clearly see this. We cannot declare war on any armies as we can only sentence our army to utter defeat at the hands of three to four major armies, or be seen as bullies for targeting small/medium armies.
Unless the rules change, we can either leave the map to die or face certain defeat at the hands of various major army allies. Though the armies in this web of alliances seem content with killing the server map, stagnation will have considerable ramifications for the community as a whole. Club Penguin Army Judges already has a judge shortage, and this will only be perpetuated if the only major army battles are in tournaments. People love to complain about unfair battle rulings, but exposure to fewer major battles will ultimately decrease the quality and frequency of judge training. Leaders of these major armies are losing their capacity to make bold moves, and they may even lose their battle skills as they come to expect ally sweeps as a given. It is hard to predict the full scope of how war stagnation will impact this community, but we cannot risk this continuing for much longer.
Templars encourage all armies in the Club Penguin Armies organisation to call for a vote to bring back the 1v1 war term. Threatening the wellbeing of the entire community, the stagnant Club Penguin Armies server map cannot continue in this state.
Concluding Remarks
To those who know little about Club Penguin army politics, I appreciate you getting so far through this post despite the jargon. Though the army community is in disarray, the Templars stand strong moving into the eighth birthday of our army. Thank you to all of the amazing members, allies, veterans and friends who attended our anniversary event today, I cherish each and every one of you. We have progressed so much in such a short time. From growth on Club Penguin Journey and CPA Battleground to the dozens of new members joining the Discord server every day, conquering 2026 is within our grasp. This is our moment in the sun, and the sun will NEVER set on our empire ever again. I am honoured to be your Empress again, and I am looking forward to the many months and years ahead for our amazing community.
