Puffles have been a unique part of Club Penguin since it was created! In addition to the iconic staples, Club Penguin Journey has implemented new features to bring you closer to your virtual furbabies! In this guide we will go over the basics of puffle care, including puffle digging and leveling!

Pet Shop Location
The Pet Shop is located in the Plaza!
Puffle Adoption
Head into the Pet Shop and click on the red catalog to view the puffles up for adoption.
There are 10 puffles available for adoption! You’ll need 800 coins for each puffle you choose to adopt.
The catalog outlines their unique personalities, so choose whichever one you vibe with. You can keep up to 60 puffles in your igloo at a time.
Pet Furniture
Once you’ve adopted your puffle, choose some adorable furniture for them! Keep in mind that furniture items are for decoration only.
If you search closely you’ll find hidden items in the catalog!

Caring for Your Puffle
Like any pet, puffles require care. They need to play, sleep, eat, and walk to be happy. If your puffle’s needs decay completely they will run away.
Rare puffles and puffles level ten and higher will not run away.

To access the puffle care menu you can click your puffle, or on the menu sidebar.

Backyard
The Puffle Backyard is located at your igloo, and you can send puffles there for 20 coins each.
Spending time in the prevents your puffle’s stats from draining for 14 days.
Puffle Leveling
Puffle leveling is a newer feature added to Club Penguin Journey that allows your puffle to find coins and items when taken on a walk.
How to Level Up
Leveling up takes quite awhile, but using this method makes it as easy as possible.

- Complete puffle care in your igloo. Play, eat, sleep, gum, bath, Puffle O’s.
- Take your puffle on a walk through the puffle care interface.
- Head to the Puffle Park.
- Use the feeding stations to feed your puffle.
- Move to the pond and take your puffle for a swim.
- Use the trampoline.
- Dance for a few moments.
- Stand still for 30 seconds.
- Repeat these steps four times.
- Return to your igloo and repeat these steps.

Head into the Pet Shop and waddle through the door on the right.
Puffle Digging
When you are taking your puffle for a walk, there is a chance of them digging for coins and items around the island.
Important Information
- Puffles will begin digging for coins at level 5.
- There are three sections of items to collect
- The items are locked to each level category
- This means a level 50 puffle will not be able to dig up items from the levels 8-19 category
- If your puffle levels up past the category of the item you are trying to collect, you will need to level up another puffle

How to Make Your Puffle Dig
- Simply take any level 5 (or higher) puffle on a walk. Walks are accessed through the puffle care interface in your igloo. You can walk wherever you’d like!
- Walk and stop, walk and stop, walk and stop. Eventually your puffle will dig something up.
- Your puffle will do a unique animation when they are digging
How Long Does This Take?
Everything about puffle leveling and puffle digging is a grind. Expect to be doing this for quite awhile if your goal is to collect all of the items. The odds of your puffle digging up an item are around 1 in 20, they will mostly dig up coins. At least you’ll become rich in the process of doing this!
